Read the Overview screen

Understand total balance, history, upcoming events, and key planning signals.

Overview brings together your actual account position and the nearest part of your financial plan. It is a good place to begin each review.

Total balance

The total is the sum of all account balances in the selected currency. Switch currencies to see each group separately. If the number looks wrong, check individual balances and duplicate accounts.

Balance history

The chart tracks your actual total after account updates. Select the history card for a detailed view, then choose a period to review recent or longer-term movement. Gaps remain when balances were not updated.

Variance from plan

Variance compares the actual balance with the expected value. It signals that real income or spending differs from your scenario, but does not explain why. Use Actual balance versus plan to investigate.

Upcoming events

Upcoming cards show the next planned income and expenses. The current-month summary includes events still ahead, rather than dates that have already passed.

Open a month to see its calendar, total income and expenses, and a day-by-day breakdown of events.

End-of-period forecast

Forecast cards show the expected balance at the end of the month and year after planned transactions. Open Budget for a detailed analysis.

Pay attention when upcoming expenses significantly exceed income, the forecast falls quickly, or the actual balance differs noticeably from the plan.
